Attempted bombing in Bangkok, there are no injuries
A man threw today small amount of explosives from a bridge in the center of Bangkok without causing injuries, police said, a day after the bombing that took place yesterday outside a Hindu temple in the center of the Thai capital, which killed 21 people , including several foreigners.
The unknown man threw explosives near a bustling wharf on the river Chao Praia Bangkok and they fell to a channel, said deputy police area Klongksan, Natakit Siriouongktaouan. "If you fall in the water you certainly would have caused injuries," he added.
Alongside China today called on the Thai authorities to conduct a thorough investigation of yesterday's bomb attack, which killed four Chinese tourists and to strictly punish the perpetrators.
