Pyongyang
Ti own time zone will establish
North Korea announced that from 15 August will establish its own time zone by turning the clocks back by 30 minutes, as announced by the legislative body.

This decision was taken on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the country from Japan, reported the North Korean news agency quoted the document from the Supreme People's Assembly.

So far, Japan, North and South Korea are in the same time zone, nine hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, which was established at the time the then united Korea was colonized by Japan from 1910 until 1945.

North Korea is the only country that decided to change time zone. In 2007, Venezuela decided to turn back the clocks.
