The Russia-US Secretary seek early resumption of talks on Syria

The talks, conducted under United Nations auspices, was originally scheduled to begin on March 7 in Geneva, but postponed until March 9, for "logistical and technical reasons and in order to allow time for better implementation of the ceasefire," the UN said , according to the Athens Press Agency.
"Both sides have appealed to start negotiations as soon as possible ... between the Syrian government and the whole spectrum of the opposition, during which the Syrians themselves will determine the future of their country," he said in a statement the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Kerry and Lavrov also reiterated the need for mutual cooperation in order to ensure the cessation of hostilities in Syria, said the Russian Foreign Ministry.
