Syria: Rebels deny that receive assistance from Russia
Syrian rebels have denied that they have received assistance from Moscow, shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin referred to the support given by his country in the armed organizations of the Syrian opposition.
Putin, at the annual press conference if all the matter that gave today said that Russia is "in contact" with elements of the Syrian opposition "who want to fight against the organization Islamic State and do so" and that the Russian Air Force bases both the regime of Damascus and the armed opposition. These statements immediately denied by the rebels.
Assad Hanna, member of the Political Bureau of the Division of the North -a coalition of various guerrilla organizations - told AFP that the statements of Putin is "completely false."
"The Russian government seeks to cause the breakdown of the Free Syrian Army spreading rumors of cooperation with the Russians," said Hannah, stressing that the rebels have issued many statements with which "contradict these allegations."
Last week Putin had stated that his country helps 5,000 fighters ESS weapons and air strikes. "It is a lie.
