T. Mei: The compromise with Brussels will allow a "harmonious and smooth" Brexit

British Prime Minister Teresa May praised today in the British parliament the compromise reached on Friday with Brussels on the terms of departure of the United Kingdom from the EU, stressing that it would allow for a "harmonious and smooth" Brexit.

"We will leave (from the EU), but we will do it in a harmonious and smooth way, establishing a new close and special relationship with our friends while at the same time regaining control of our borders," Mei said, presenting to the House of Commons the Brexit Interim Agreement reached by the British Prime Minister and the European Commission.

At the same time, he noted that Britain's pledge to pay £ 35-39 billion for the so-called Brexit account depends on agreeing a future relationship with the bloc.

"If we do not end up for this relationship, then this offer is not valid," he said.
