Call Trident to put an end to Libyan slave banks

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trichet today called on the international community to "do more" to eliminate slavery with the victims of African refugees and migrants in Libya, a phenomenon, he said, "jealous and ridiculous."

"Canada refuses to remain silent in the face of such inhuman viciousness," Trident said in a statement posted on the government's website.

"Even if it is clear that the Libyan government is investigating this terrible injustice and that human rights organizations are making efforts to help the victims, we need to do more to deal with this situation," said the Canadian chief government.

"Once again, we appeal to all UN member states to implement and respect the Protocol, which aims to prevent, suppress and punish trafficking in human beings, especially women and children. We must work together to recognize and protect the human rights and dignity of all, "the Canadian Prime Minister continued.

A documentary on the CNN television network revealed the existence of slave-bombers near Tripoli, causing the international community to be dismayed.
