Fourth term for Angela Merkel, but with great losses


On the basis of the most recent estimates from the German elections, the CDU / CSU Christian Democratic Christian-Social Party accounted for 32.9% of the preferences of German voters.

The Social Democratic Party SPD (20.8%), the far-right Alternative to Germany (13.1%), the Liberals of the FDP (10.5%).

Also the latest ARD estimate shows Die Linke is at 8.9% with the Greens.

Participation in today's elections in Germany was higher than that recorded in the 2013 election runoff.

According to the German TV network ARD, participation today reached 75.6%, while in 2013 it was 71.5%.

The seats

The Christian Democrats' House occupies 217 seats, the Social Democratic Party 134 seats, the Afd 89 free-standing party, the 70-seat Liberal Party, the Green 62 seats, and the Left Party 59 seats.

With the SPD's denial of the big coalition after the top executives of the party, the tripartite coalition between the Christian Democrats, the Liberals and probably the Greens remains.
