Mumbai has been paralyzed by torrential rains and floods

The city of Mumbai (Mumbai) in India has paralyzed today by torrential rains that have flooded its streets and upset the lives of its 20 million inhabitants.

Dozens of flights and rail journeys have been canceled due to the rains of monsoons that are falling with unusual harshness in the economic capital of India.

In some arteries, the mud-filled water reaches the passers-by to the hips. The water penetrates the car cabins from the floors.

Many businesses have been forced to send their workers to their homes. Meteorological services recommend that the population stay in their homes and avoid traveling.

More than 1.5 meters of rain has fallen to Mumbai since Monday and new rapid rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours.

These floods wake up in memory of those residents in 2005, when 1,000 people died.
