Two of Mei's closest partners resigned

Prime Minister Teresa Mei's two top advisers resigned after the Conservatives failed to secure self-reliance on early parliamentary elections on Thursday.

Nick Timothy, one of Mei's masters, told the ConservativeHome website that he resigned on Friday. The BBC reported that his example was followed by Fiona Hill and a party spokesman who confirmed her resignation.

"The cause of this disappointing result was not the lack of support to Teresa Mée and the Conservatives but an unexpected rise in Labor," Timothy said. "I assume responsibility for my role in this election campaign, which was the oversight Of our political program. I am particularly altering the decision not to include a ceiling and a threshold in our proposal on how to deal with the increased cost of social care, "he added.

Timothy and Hill were responsible for the presidential campaign of the Conservatives, which was described as "devastating" by many party deputies. Many British memes have reported that senior Conservative executives have demanded that Mei remove them to avoid an open "mutiny."
Fiona Hill and Nick Timothy were Mie's advisers since she was Interior Minister in the David Cameron government between 2010-16.
