Turkey's Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) has cleared 107 judges and prosecutors allegedly belonging to the movement of the US-based preacher, Fatehul Guilen, who Ankara accuses of being the brain of the failed July military coup, .
This is the third round of cleansing in the state following the victory of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the referendum on the revision of the Constitution, with which he has acquired sweeping new powers.
Altogether, the Turkish authorities have dethroned, dismissed or ordered more than 145,000 civil servants, security officials, judges and even academics, according to the East news agency and other Turkish media.
The number of judges and prosecutors removed from their posts after the failed military coup on 15 July rose to 4,238.
At the expense of the 107 magistrates and prosecutors who were discharged today from their duties, arrest warrants were issued, broadcasting Turkish television stations.
