Almost 1,500 police and gendarmes will be deployed to guarantee security during the events of surrendering power by France's outgoing French President Francois Hollande to the elected president, Emmanuel Makron, the eighth president of the Fifth French Republic, made known today by the police Address of Paris.

Under the official program, Emmanuel Makron will arrive at 10.00 at the Elysium Mansion. Francois Hollande will welcome him and both men will chat for about 20 minutes at the President's office. During these talks, the outgoing leader will reveal some of the state secrets to his successor, such as nuclear weapons codes. Then he will leave at around 10.30 local time.
