Conservative candidate for French presidency François Fillon said today that the next French president's priority should be the fight against "Islamist totalitarianism".
Speaking to reporters on the occasion of yesterday's assault in the center of Paris that claimed the lives of a police officer and the responsibility for which the Islamic State took over, Fiona, who appears in polls to follow centrist Emmanuel Makron and far right Marin Lepén, Stressed:
"This fight for the French's freedom and security should be the priority of the next government. It requires unwavering determination and calmness."
"Radical Islam is testing our values and the strength of our character."
Fiona, who is campaigning to promote a hardline platform on security, added: "We are in war, there is no alternative either we or those."
As he noted, the priority of his foreign policy in the case of victory will be to "destroy the Islamic State."
