German Foreign Minister Zigmar Gabriel said today that it is good that the election campaign for the Turkish referendum is now over and urged the citizens to remain calm while the "yes" precedes the "no".
"It seems that the outcome will be ambitious, as expected. Whatever the outcome of the Turkish citizens' vote, it would be good to remain calm and move in a sensible and prudent way," Gabriel said in a statement.
"It is good that the election campaign, which was held in such a bitter climate, even here in Germany, is over," the German Foreign Ministry underlined.
