Drummer: Negotiations for a "fair" trade agreement with Canada and Mexico will start soon

US President Donald Trump appeared hopeful today that the US, Canada and Mexico will be able to successfully renegotiate the NAFTA trade agreement, which he feels is not satisfying American interests. However, it reiterated once again that it would cancel this treaty if it is not possible to reach a "fair agreement for all".

At his meeting with Argentine President Maurosio Macri, Trab said he planned to abolish the NAFTA free trade agreement but eventually decided to postpone this decision after speaking with the Mexican and Canadian leaders whom the three Countries to work towards a new agreement.

"Instead of canceling NAFTA, which would be a big shock to the system, we will renegotiate," the US president told reporters at the Oval Office. He added that the deal "will start shortly" and warned that "if it fails to reach a just agreement on the United States," it will withdraw from the current North American Free Trade Agreement.

This statement was made one day after the White House decided not to take immediate steps to withdraw from NAFTA, an agreement that has been repeatedly denounced by Trab. According to the White House's announcement, Tramp told Mexican President Enriche Pennie Nietto and Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trento that Washington would seek to renegotiate quickly.
