German FM: For internal consumption categories Schaeuble by Gabriel

"We will not comment on the Finance Minister's statements", initially told the government brifingk in Berlin the Foreign Ministry spokesman, Sebastian Fischer, but in order to differentiate then indirectly by the way that approximates the Greek issue Wolfgang Schaeuble. As noted, Greece has come a very long way "very painful reforms" that have led to reduced incomes and staff in public in fourth, increasing the unemployment rate to 25%, to abolish collective bargaining to restrict the right to strike and to facilitate mass layoffs. " Despite some criticism of the "Greek elite, we should recognize what they managed to Greece," said Mr. Fisher. The challenge now is to complete the current evaluation. However, the estimate obtained Mr. Gabriel in Athens from discussions with their interlocutors is that "the distance from a deal is not so great." "And in this regard," said Foreign Ministry spokesman, "we should not focus on the German domestic policy debates, but to complete the second assessment and contribute to the eurozone remain" united. In other words, the representative of K. Gkampriel hinted that the statements of Mr. Schäuble made for domestic consumption and that fiscal policy of compromising the cohesion of the eurozone.

Despite persistent questions the Finance Ministry spokesman, Fryderyk von Tizenchaouzen refrained brifingk the government to respond to the substance of categories made by Volfgkangk Soimple against Sigmar Gabriel. He noted, however, that the policy pursued by the Treasury all the past years with regard to Greece is in concert with the Foreign Ministry and the Economy, which noted, both have social democratic ministers. As noted then, the task now is to complete the evaluation. Citing institutions spoke of "some progress" in the implementation of the commitments on the part of Greece, for example in regard to the primary surplus in last year's budget. The Greek government has yet to "core issues" to make further efforts; especially in regard to pensions and the labor market - to lead the country's economy on a growth path.

Government spokesman Stlefen Zaimpert asked by Deutsche Welle, whether Mr. Gabriel actually sent the wrong messages from Athens, argued that all German governments have a common line of approach on the Greek question. "Everyone knows," said Mr. Zaimpert, "that many Greeks have to pay a high price crisis." He argued, however, that not paid due to the measures connected with aid to Greece, but it was paid for wrong economic and political choices of the past decades.
