"I think the right thing is a country so strong, big and solid as Germany is doing everything it can to keep Europe united," said Gabriel in this interview, published in tomorrow sheets of newspapers of Media Founke group.
"Athens must honor its agreements made and must join forces and do everything in order at last this country and the crummy people to stand back on its feet both financially and socially; within the eurozone," he said Gabriel, member of the Social Democrats (SPD), who represents the minor party partner in the grand coalition government under Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Earlier today a senior member of Christianokoinoniston Union (CSU), the party brother in Bavaria the Union of Christian Democrats (CDU) Merkel, told Reuters news agency he believed Berlin would no longer make loans to Greece if the IMF decides to not to extend its participation in the support program.
