Turkey: 400 suspects arrested in the ISIS members


Turkish police today arrested 400 suspected members of the Islamic State, one of them foreigners, in a series of raids carried out across the country, reported agencies Dogan and Anadolu news.

Almost 150 suspects were arrested in Sanliurfa, in the southeast of the country, 60 in the capital Ankara and dozens of others in many provinces, specify the same sources.

Earlier today the official Turkish media reported that the 60 arrested in Ankara are mostly foreigners.

They arrested during investigations simultaneously held in Hsinchu districts Tsoumpouk, Genimachala and Mamakou the capital, according to Anadolu.

The arrests took place one month after the bloody attack against night Istanbul city center the responsibility for which was assumed by the jihadist organization.

According to Hurriyet newspaper, the Islamic State was planning to make the first hours of the New Year, except the attack on a nightclub in Istanbul, and a simultaneous attack in Ankara, but canceled it because of the arrests were made by the Turkish authorities.
