The US president Donald Trump announced that it would go to the annual dinner of the Union White House Correspondents (WHCA) at the end of April, in a break with the tradition of meeting the head of the American state with reporters and celebrities, which usually prevails humorous climate.
"We will attend the dinner of the Association of Correspondents of the White House this year," wrote Trump in his account on the social networking site Twitter, wishing "everyone to spend a nice evening."
The Trump has strained relations with much of the press, calls journalists considers that the opposing "the people" enemy, and frequently criticizes media and journalists personally when coverage does not like.
The annual dinner will be listed on April 29 in Washington.
Some media such as Bloomberg news agency or magazine New Yorker, who usually support the event and hosting expensive after-parties, made clear that they will not do anything like that this year.
Yesterday Friday, the White House ruled out several major media, both American and international, from an information off camera made by a spokesman of the US presidency.
Reporters of the television network CNN, the newspaper The New York Times, the Politico website, the newspaper The Los Angeles Times and the BuzzFeed website was not allowed to see the information held in the Spaiser office, a decision that provoked strong protests.
