Germany: Arrest Suspects close collaboration with ISIS

The German police arrested three men yesterday in Berlin as suspects close cooperation with the Islamic State fighters and ready to travel to the Middle East for military training, said police spokesman yesterday.

The three men, aged 21, 31 and 45, are accused of preparing "a serious act of violent subversion" because of their plan to participate in combat training. The spokesman said there is no evidence for a specific plan of attack within Germany.

The Bild newspaper reported that three suspects maintained close relations with members of IR in Syria and Iraq and frequented a mosque in Moampit district of Berlin which was visited and Anis Omri, that in December attacked outdoor Christmas Berlin market.

A police spokesman declined to give details on the background of the suspects, but confirmed that the police had raided a mosque in Moampit.

The Amrita killed 12 people when they drove a truck on a plurality of the market on December 19, at worst a number of attacks against civilians in Germany last year.
