European summit in Malta in the shadow of Trump


The 28 EU leaders meet tomorrow in Malta with the intention to raise the section opposite the crises are shaking the European Union, but also to deal with the new political realities in Washington at the first European summit after the inauguration of Donald Trump.

Besides the uncertainty about design of transatlantic relations, the attitude of absolute confidence of China, the aggressive policy of Russia in Ukraine, conflicts, terrorism, anarchy in the Middle East and Africa and the role of extremist Islam are problems sufficient to make the European Union's future "completely unpredictable," he warned in his message Donald Tusk.

The European Union's response to new international balances should be firm and strong, according to the president of the European Council.
