The Benoit Amon, the former education minister and outsider of reckoning for the nomination of the Socialist Party of France in view of the presidential elections, precedes the first round of primary elections, while in second place followed by the former Prime Minister Manuel Vals, according to the partial results which were made public.
The 48 year old Amon won the match ensuring percentage 35.2% of votes, while Waltz, 54 years, about 31% after counting 30% of votes.
If final results confirm their victory, the two men will compete in the second and final round of the January 29, where the candidate of the Socialists would emerge for the presidential elections of April-May 2017.
