1,400 children were killed in Yemen in March 2015


Nearly 1,400 children have been killed in Yemen while 2,000 schools have been shut off since the war in the country escalated, in March 2015, he said today in Sana'a representative of the United Nations Fund for Childhood (UNICEF).

She reiterated the call by the Fund to all parties to the conflict and to all those who can influence the rival camps to look to "protect children and stop the attacks on school infrastructure".

Moreover, Relanio called on warring parties to facilitate the distribution of humanitarian aid and to stop recruiting children. According to her, the war taking place 1,363 children who have joined the ranks of rival powers.

The UNICEF Representative said that 2016 offered by this organization medical assistance to over one million children under five and over 500,000 expectant or nursing mothers, "despite the difficult situation on the ground."
