Strengthening of Russian nuclear power for 2017 calls for Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin today ordered the strengthening in 2017 of the Russian nuclear power to have the ability to penetrate any missile shield, like the Washington system intends to develop in Eastern Europe.

"We must strengthen the capacity of our nuclear forces strategies, above all by means of missile systems able to guarantee the permeability of missile defense systems, those that exist and those that will be," said the Russian president during a meeting with the leadership of all arms of the Russian armed forces.

Earlier, and referring to US-Russian relations, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that dialogue with Washington is "frozen" at most levels, but the pending president Donald Trump seems to have a more constructive approach towards Russia.

"We do not put pink glasses, we have no illusions about spectacular advances, but hope for a more constructive approach," said Peskov said.
