Help 610 million. Euro in Niger by the EU to curb migration flows

The EU has provided EUR 610 million to the government of Niger to the country to reduce migration of Africans to Europe through the Mediterranean.

The EU Member States, that seek to significantly reduce the flow of immigrants and refugees after receiving 1.4 million. Refugees and immigrants in the last two years, negotiating with key African countries, both countries of origin and transit, to ensure that the flow will stop.

The amount announced that will be offered in Niger will come from the new European fund for Africa, as well as from Germany, France and Italy.

The EU has also provided additional assistance in Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mali, Afghanistan, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey, among others, in the context of such agreements.

In return for the money offered by Brussels seek to prevent migrants leaving for Europe and the authorities of these countries to immediately accept those immigrants who are repatriated.
