The Socialist Party in France tried to boost primaries elections prior to the presidential elections of 2017 calling the former economy minister Emmanuel long and the head of the radical leftist Jean-Luc Melanson to join forces, two days after the statement by President Francois Hollande would not be a candidate.
On Saturday meeting in Paris did not attend nor Prime Minister Manuel Vals or several candidates registered with the primaries.
"The primaries are a way to enforce unity, so that families who have separated to meet again, and again, in my turn, I appeal to those who did not understand today that modernization is the people decide and not decide the position of the people ... I appeal to Emmanuelle away, to Jean-Luc Melanson: "unite the primaries of the left," said the first secretary of the socialist party Jean-Christophe Cambadélis by step, before 2,500 people.
