There will be a Trump-Putin meeting before the inauguration of the new US President
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President-elect Donald Trump will not meet before taking the last office on January 20, 2017, stated today the Kremlin.
The two men, in a telephone conversation that had late Monday evening, agreed to work to achieve a "constructive cooperation", including the fight against terrorism.
The Trump stated that he wants to meet with Putin, probably even before his inauguration. But Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters today that they agreed to meet before January 20 in the first telephone conversation they had after the Trump victory in the presidential elections of November 8.
The Peskov added that was not discussed in detail the crisis in Ukraine nor the Crimean regime, which was annexed by Russia in March 2014.
