Putin Obama meeting in the margins of the APEC
Russian President Vladimir Putin and outgoing President Barack Obama had made a short meeting today on the sidelines of the APEC summit work (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization) in Lima, Peru.
A White House spokesman confirmed the meeting, which he said lasted four minutes. The US president called on Putin to honor the commitments made by Russia on the basis of the Minsk agreements to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, stressing that Washington and its partners are committed to the sovereignty of Ukraine.
According to the Russian agency Tass, regretted because no progress on the issue of Ukraine.
