Optimistic about the four years Americans Trump but ask him to shut down his Twitter account
Six out of ten Americans voters say "optimistic" for four years chaired by Donald Trump, according to a Kouinipiak University poll released today, two weeks after the victory of the Republican candidate in the presidential elections.
About the same percentage (59%) consider that the elected president will have to close their account across Twitter, main communication tool used to focus on the tasks for which they voted for him.
Based on this research, phone held between 17 to 20 November on a sample of 1,071 Americans, 59% displayed "optimistic" for the next four years, the Trump White House, while 37% say "pessimistic" about the future . The poll's margin of error is 3%.
Specifically, nearly half (49%) believe that Trump will be a "super" (17%) or "good" (32%) president while (43%) believes that "it is not good" (17%) or even that it is "bad" (26%).
"Voters say the elected President: Have the office, now become a leader, not touiterakias" explained Tim Malone, director of the polling institute Kouinipiak.
Half of respondents (49%) consider, however, that Trump will take measures that will divide the country.
Regarding expectations also are divided: one in two believes that no insurance cost will be reduced, but two out of three believe that Trump will create jobs. And 58% are convinced that it will protect the US from terrorist threat, although one out of two does not believe that will be able to defeat the Islamic State.
"The majority of voters says he will not be able to force Mexico to the wall and will not defeat the Islamic State. It is not honest and not landing. But has power and leadership. Weighs heavily promises for more jobs and for a better economy, "says Malone said.
In another poll by CNN / ORC, more than one in two Americans (53%) believe that Donald Trump would make "good or fairly good" job and will be able to implement his promises.
