The attack took place yesterday evening in a nursing home for the ieropostolous Monferie-sur-le, near Montpellier, not connected to Islamic "terrorism," said prosecutor Christophe Barre today.
"There has so far shown any link with Islamic terrorism," he told reporters at a news conference Barre, prosecutor of Montpellier in southern France.
The Barre added that police still wanted the man who allegedly carried out the attack last night at the lodge, in which one woman was killed with a knife.
He said police have identified the suspect and investigating a suspicious car was found near the crime scene, in which the alleged perpetrator also had a fake gun.
