Kurds protest against Erdogan in Cologne

Thousands of Kurds marched today in Cologne to protest against the policy of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the arrest of members of the leadership and members of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Peoples.

The demonstration was peaceful gathered about 6,500 people, according to police estimates, involving less than that anticipated by organizers who hoped in attendance 10000-15000 people.

The protesters were holding placards with slogans in favor of the Democratic Party of Peoples and portraits of party cadres, especially the young charismatic leader Selahattin Demirtas.
