Turkey: Extension for three months of emergency
Ankara decided to extend for a further three months the state of emergency, a measure imposed after the attempted coup of July 15, the vice president of the Turkish government and the main representative Numan Kourtoulmous announced today.
"We decided to extend the state of emergency for 90 days to continue the fight against terrorist organizations," said Kourtoulmous reporters after the cabinet meeting.
The starting point start of the time extension is October 19th, and ending when the state of emergency imposed on 20 July and the initial period provided for three months.
