Obama refugee: Italy and Greece should not lift more weight than other countries

The US President Barack Obama noted today that his government remains committed to help Europe cope with the massive arrival of refugees, stressing that Italy, Greece and Germany should not lift more weight than the other countries of the European Union.

"It is a strategic interest of the US to ensure that the immigration crisis in Europe will be resolved," Obama told reporters during a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi following their meeting at the White House.

US President Barack Obama said that he and Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi agreed that the two countries should focus on economic development and added that Washington supports the campaign Renzo regarding the referendum on the revision of the Constitution of Italy.

"On the economic front, we agree that the focus should remain on development, to job creation and prosperity," Obama said.

The US president Barak, referring to the company recapture of Mosul, said that although it is a "tough battle", is confident that the Iraqi forces are conducting operations against the Islamic State to retake Mosul will prevail.
