The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says "shocked by the horrific military escalation" in Aleppo
The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon said today that he is "shocked by the horrific escalation of military operations in Aleppo," which mercilessly bombarded by government forces and the Russian Air Force.
Ban stressed that "the apparent systematic use of" incendiary devices and bombs particularly strong in residential areas "may constitute war crimes."
The UN secretary general spoke in a press release on "continuing reports of airstrikes where incendiary devices and advanced ammunition used as armor-piercing bombs."
"The international community must join forces in order to send a clear message which will assure that it will not tolerate the use of indiscriminate weapons and more powerful and deadliest on civilians."
Aleppo "experiencing the fiercest and intensive bombing of the start of the war in Syria," Mr. Ban.
"This is a black day for the capture of the planet to protect civilians."
In the barrage of bombs launched by the Syrian forces and the Russian Air Force today, for the 5th consecutive day, in neighborhoods controlled by the rebels in Aleppo, in northern Syria killed at least 45 people.
