Spain: For the second time, parliament refused to give a vote of confidence in Mariano Rajoy

The caretaker Prime Minister of Spain Mariano Rajoy failed even today to win the vote of confidence in parliament to form a government, which probably indicates that the countdown starts for conducting the third general elections within a year.

Not to bring back to the country polls should reach an agreement between the parties within the next two months.

Like Wednesday, Rajoy has secured the support of 170 deputies in parliament 350meles. Rajoy voted in favor of the deputies of the Popular Party (PP), those of the centrist, liberal Ciudadanos MPs and one from a small, local party of the Canary Islands. The Socialists, the left alliance Unidos Podemos and Country parties Basque and Catalonia voted against.

The result was exactly the same with the vote Wednesday, and there were no abstentions by parliament.
