Bombs a mosque and conference center in Dresden, there are no injured
Two homemade bombs exploded in Dresden, eastern Germany yesterday evening --A a mosque and an international conference kentro-- but no one was injured, police said today.
"Even if until now there has been no claim of responsibility, we must proceed on the basis that the motive was xenophobic," said Horst Kretsmar, director of police of Dresden.
He added that the police believe there is a link between these incidents with the celebrations organized for this coming weekend in the city for the 26th anniversary of German reunification (on October 3, 1990).
At the time of the first explosion was the imam in the mosque along with his wife and their sons but not injured. However the building was damaged due to the shock wave.
Shortly thereafter, the International Conference Centre was damaged by improvised explosion mechanism and bar adjacent hotel was evacuated.
