US: Violent riots erupted in Milwaukee


Violent riots broke out Saturday night in Milwaukee US by a crowd of angry demonstrators, a few hours after the death of an armed suspect in the shooting of a police officer during the pursuit of the first of the police did patrol following a road test, announced the authorities.

The crowd of protesters broke the windows of an empty patrol police and torched another before set fire to a gas station and some shops, and a policeman was injured by brick you threw a protester, according to authorities.

This incident occurred in one of the poorest neighborhoods, most residents of which are African Americans, city.

The suspect, who had a long list of arrests to his credit, was armed with a stolen handgun, according to police, which did not specify whether it was shot during the incident.

Not yet determined whether the suspect turned his gun and shot the policemen, said police officer Milwaukee Bill Tzesap. "Everything will be clarified in the coming days," he added.

Shortly after the incident an angry crowd broke the windows of an empty patrol car and fired another, and then set fire to a petrol station.

"Our city is in turmoil tonight," said Milwaukee Alnterman Ashanti Hamilton, president of the Community Council.

Authorities believe arson were a total of three locations, according to the mayor of the city, while firefighters could not initially make the extinguishing them because of the shots threw some of the crowd.

The fire department is struggling now to put out a second fire, as explained in a store with car parts located close to where the protests erupted. Also a local network owned by NBC broadcast a video showing firefighters have rushed to a bank from the front window of which come fumes.

The crowd of more than 100 protesters, according to local media, shooting and throwing stones while police tried to dissolve it, and a policeman was injured by brick threw protester.

Three arrests were made in the city in connection with the unrest, while the official said police Charpol James, adding that many shots were thrown from various locations during the episodes.

The riots are the latest in a series of violent demonstrations made in several US cities, including the Baton Rouge, Dallas, Ferguson, New York and Oakland, the last two years after the death of people from police fire.

All previous incidents involved young African American men, which led to the creation of the movement "The Lives of Blacks count".

"It's a warning cry," noted Alnterman Khalifa PAVE. "The black Milwaukee are tired. They are tired of living under this oppression," he added.
