Concentration for democracy is scheduled for today in Taksim Square in Istanbul, eight days after the failed coup and mass persecution continued by the Turkish government.

The invitation for gathering in Istanbul sent the largest opposition party, the Republican People's Party (CHP, social democratic). The president's Justice and Development Party (AKP islamosyntiritiko) Recep Tayyip Erdogan participated in this call.

Erdogan dismissed yesterday dried reservations and criticisms from the EU to the purges that began after the failed coup of July 15 from a part of the army.

Those who say that European officials "not interested and did not hear them," said the Turkish president in an interview with French television network France 24.

Erdogan warned that it will not reduce the counterattack against the supporters of Fethullah Gülen, who lives in exile in the US and accused by Ankara as orchestrator of the coup.

Last measures taken: Turkey, where a state of emergency was imposed for the first time Thursday to 15 years increased to 30 days the maximum period of temporary custody and dismantled more than 2,000 establishments and institutions, including the presidential guard.

Shortly after the broadcast of the interview Erdogan, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi accused Ankara of "imprisoning the future" of Turkey.

The first impact of the emergency situation referred officially: increase to 30 days of temporary detention of four who were lifelong deletion of public servants who have links with Fethullah Gülen ... yesterday evening, an official announced the arrest of Haile Hudson, who characterized the "right hand" of Gulen.

Closed 1,043 schools, 15 universities, 1,229 associations and foundations, 19 trade unions ... The President Erdogan reiterated its resolve to uproot this "virus", the "cancer" that could become "metastatic" within the institutions and institutions.

Of course, justice announced the release of 1,200 military, a phenomenal release decision after the start of mass liquidations then started by the failed coup that killed 270 people, including 24 rebels, 179 civilians, 62 policemen and five soldiers loyal to President Erdogan.

But the evening, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim announced on television the dissolution of the presidential guard who "has no reason to exist." After the failed coup, 283 of the 2,500 members arrested.

The Yildirim also said he ordered the detention 13.002 people after the events the night of 15 to 16 July 5837 and those set by reservation, of which 3,718 soldiers and 123 generals.

The Gulen movement "wilder than the Islamic State"

"Come here! Come see how serious it is!" Said European Affairs Minister Omer Celik those who perhaps thought that the coup attempt "was just a Pokémon game." The Gulen is "more dangerous than Osama bin Laden" and his movement "wilder than the Islamic State," he said.

The minister, however, stressed that the agreement of 20 March between Ankara and Brussels, which stopped the flow of immigrants to the EU, continue to be implemented "smoothly" and called for a "new momentum" in its accession negotiations with the EU.

In view of today's demonstration in Taksim Square, expected mass, the Erdogan supporters went yesterday evening the streets screaming their hatred for Gulen, whose nephew, Mohammed Sait Gulen, and close associate Hayley Hudson arrested.

Ankara demands from the US version of Gulen. In a tense climate between Ankara and Washington, President Barack Obama warned that the issue of a possible extradition of Gulen will be processed in accordance with US law.

Erdogan said that evidence supporting this extradition request will be sent within "ten days".

The Turkish president said that the chief of General Staff army Houlousi Akar, who remained faithful and was held hostage by the military that made the coup, had been proposed by the coup to talk by phone with Gulen.
