Erdogan to "Reuters": Likely a new coup attempt
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed in an interview with Reuters news agency that the country's intelligence services of committed serious errors and omissions before the coup attempt occurred last Friday in the country and that the armed forces will soon be restructured.
In the first interview granted after the declaration of emergency that followed the failed coup attempt, the head of the Turkish State pointed out that a new coup attempt is however likely will not be something easy, as "we are more vigilant."
"It is clear that there were serious gaps and shortcomings in our intelligence, it makes no sense to try to hide or deny it. I told the head of the national intelligence service," said Erdogan during the interview with the presidential palace in Ankara.
