Obama congratulated Clinton to secure the Democratic presidential nomination

The US President Barack Obama telephoned yesterday to former US Secretary, Hillary Clinton, to the congratulations for the completion of the necessary number of electors required to secure the Democratic presidential nomination, according to an announcement from the White House. "The historic election campaign was the inspiration for millions of Americans and is an extension of the struggle to make a life for families and children of the middle class," he said in a statement, the White House spokesman, Josh Earnest.

President Obama also spoke with the unopposed Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Senator from Vermont and will meet tomorrow at the White House at the request of Sanders. "The President thanked the Senator Sanders for the mobilization of millions of Americans through his engagement on issues such as combating disparities in income, but also the influence of special interest brought by Sanders in American political life," said Ernest.

Political analysts attribute the movements of President Obama in activation in order to preserve the unity of the Democratic Party.
