Nt. Tusk: A British exit from the EU could spell the end of Western political culture

If the British vote for the exit of the country from the European Union in the referendum of June 23, it could be the beginning of the end for the Union of 28 member states and the western political culture in general, said European Council President Donald Tusk.

In an interview with the German newspaper Bild, o Tusk said that a vote in favor of the so Brexit will give great impetus to the extreme anti-European forces, he said, would "open champagnes".

"Why is it so dangerous? Because no one can predict what will be the long-term effects," Tusk said. "As a historian, I am afraid the Brexit may be the beginning of the destruction not only of the EU and the Western political culture as a whole."

All the EU will lose economically if Britain left, Tusk said.

"Every family knows that divorce is traumatic for everyone. All the EU, but especially the British, will lose economically," Tusk told themselves.

Although expressed hope that the EU will survive in case of a Brexit, Tusk said that the price will be high.
