Europeans consider the most important IR threat for their countries

Europeans regard jihadist organization Islamic State (IR) the greatest threat facing their countries, assessing it as more severe by climate change, economic instability and refugee crisis, as shown by the Pew Research Center survey, released yesterday . Respondents in nine of the 10 European countries included in the survey answered that they find the pe the greatest risk to their countries, with 93% of Spaniards and 91% of French people characterize this organization "major threat."

In most countries, this survey was conducted in April, one month after jihadists who had sworn allegiance to IK killed 32 people in the Brussels International Airport and the subway in the Belgian capital. The Pew survey released one day after a gunman who swore allegiance to the IR killed 49 people in a nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

Greece, which has difficulty in returning to growth after nearly seven years of economic recession, it was the only country where respondents did not assess the IR as the biggest threat. 95% of Greeks consider that the global economic instability is the greatest danger for the country.
