At the highest point for 34 years the water level on the Seine


The water level reached the Seine today at noon to 6 meters and can reach even 6.30 and 6.50 meters in the evening, thus reaching the highest levels recorded in the last 34-plus years in Paris, announced the French Environment Ministry.

"There will be even greater rise of water in the Seine and as set the level will reach about 6.30 meters tonight, even 6.50 meters in the worst case scenario. It should be noted that this high level in the water level is expected to remained relatively stable during the weekend before starting to decline ", specified in the notice of the ministry.

This level is higher than the water had reached the French capital in 1982 (6.15 meters).
