Juncker: Erdogan will have to think twice before failed to fulfill the agreement with the EU
The European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said today that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will need "to think twice" before defaulting the agreement concluded with the EU for migrants.
"The president Erdogan should think twice before saying, as they call some of his ministers, that the agreement will not be implemented," Juncker said at a lunch organized in Paris by the French Association Presidential Press (Association de la presse pr? sidentielle, APP), the union of journalists accredited to the presidency of the Republic.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned the EU that the Turkish parliament will prevent implementation of the agreement for immigrants, if no progress has been made in regard to the exclusion of his countrymen from the obligation to have an entry visa in their passports when visiting EU countries.
If breached this agreement, continued Jean-Claude Juncker, the head of the Turkish state should "explain to young Turks, entrepreneurs, journalists and others, because they are isolated only in Turkish territory", while noting a " retreat ambitions "of Turkey to Europe in the last two years.
