Obama-Putin communication for the cessation of hostilities in Syria


O Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Barack Obama agreed to help further in order to ensure the cessation of hostilities in Syria during a telephone conversation today, announced the Kremlin.

During this telephone communication, the head of the Russian State stressed the need to separate the moderate Syrian opposition from the organization Islamic State and al Nosra Front, an offshoot of Al Qaeda, as well as the need for the closure of Turkey Syrias- borders according to the Kremlin.

The Russian government has repeatedly pointed out the border issue, which according to Russia crossing fighters to invade from Turkey to Syria.

And the White House confirmed the telephone conversation between the two leaders, adding his part that the two presidents discussed the situation that has developed in Ukraine.

The American presidency spokesman Josh Earnest noted specifically told reporters that President Obama and Russian counterpart had a "heated discussion" today on Syria and Ukraine.

At the same time the President of France Francois Hollande today expressed its concern about the possible collapse of the peace talks on Syria, urging the main protagonists to the conflict to intensify the pressure in order to boost the perspective of ensuring the political transition process.
