M. Schultz: Men and brutal attacks in Brussels
Horrified by the terrorist attacks in Brussels is a statement of the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.
"I feel disgust for the despicable and cowardly attacks that took place in Brussels today. My thought is first and foremost to the victims and the injured and the families and friends.
These actions cause my anger and grief simultaneously. Starting from the brutality and hatred and nowhere ending why not give justice to anyone and anything.
Brussels like other cities that have been hit by the terrorist attacks, will remain strong, and the European institutions that are hosted there.
Meanwhile, the orange rose the level of the European Parliament Ready after the terrorist attacks and asked the staff initially to stay inside until further notice.
The staff will work Wednesday with teleworking, all EP buildings will be closed off from the main, which is accessible by reinforced control measures. All missions, meetings and visits on Tuesday and Wednesday were canceled.
