Telecommunications Kerry - Lavrov
The foreign ministers of the United States of America and Russia had a telephone contact and discussed inter alia the progress of processes of political transition in Syria, the war against jihadist Islamic State, regional issues in the Middle East, and for bilateral relations between the two countries, said the State Department spokesman John Kirby.
The two men "agreed to remain in close contact and to seek an opportunity to meet in the near future," said Kirby made a brief mention of the communication of the American Secretary of State John Kerry and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, without identify the reason for their eventual meeting.
