The governor of California Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency region Porter rand in California after failed attempts of a private company to check the gas leak started in October at its premises.
The leak in the gas storage facility in Gorge Alicia in the greater Los Angeles area, releasing thousands of cubic meters of methane in the atmosphere from 23 October 2015. The announcement was made on the official website of the state today, which states that the Governor took off measures "at the request of residents and local authorities" and "the failure of the Company Natural Gas Southern California to stop the leak."
Thousands of residents in the area have been forced to leave their homes because the gas to create headaches and other health problems.
