Rivers overflowed along the Missouri today due to heavy rainfall in recent days, causing widespread flooding resulting in hundreds of people to flee their homes, while at the same time closed in many places an interstate highway and many buildings and infrastructure at risk from the muddy water.
Bad weather sweeping the US for a week has already claimed the lives of 49 people.
Soldiers and volunteers are struggling with time to prevent the rising waters and to safeguard the affected areas.
