Confirms the "tripartite" Greece, Germany, Turkey, the German deputy government spokesman
The leaders of Germany, Greece and Turkey "have agreed that they want to meet, because the refugee status to the three countries in particular," said German deputy government spokesman Georg Straiter, referring to the "trilateral" meeting which was announced last week by the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu.
Mr. Straiter added that the meeting will soon take place, but explained that it is now able to announce the date and place.
For his part, Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Scheffer, in reply to a question concerning the creation Hotspots in Turkey, merely stated that the negotiations between the EU and Turkey are underway, and referred to the European Commission for more information.
