From psychodrama calm, writes the French Le Monde for the Athens-creditors agreement
Once previous negotiations had become psychodrama, Greece and its partners yesterday signed an agreement on technical peaceful atmosphere, it refers to a report in the electronic edition of the newspaper Le Monde.
"Within six years of crisis, it never saw," said a European source, referring to the calm atmosphere in which the negotiations were conducted by the Greek government with the representatives of creditors and which yesterday resulted in a technical agreement.
"The talks were conducted in good understanding climate. We worked in a calm atmosphere to reach a compromise as soon as possible, "said the source of the institutions.
From July 20, Euclid Tsakalotos and George Stathakis had systematic meetings with representatives of the creditors and negotiated with dozens measures Greece should implement in order to receive help.
"Both technical talks could extend for months," said Nick Kunio, economist at ABN Amro.
"It is almost unbelievable: here and only three months, Tsipras would never accept such a program," commented negotiators.
What happened in between? "Tsipras made 180 degree turn. Everything changed after the European Agreement of July 13, when eurozone leaders agreed to discuss third assistance program, "said independent analyst John Koutsomitis.
Suddenly, Alexis Tsipras has decided to accept the core requirements of its partners, with the exception of certain red lines. The Varoufakis replaced by the distinguishing Tsakalotos Euclid, who led the negotiations along with George Chouliaraki, good connoisseur of European institutions. The two were in the same line with Prime Minister: reaching an agreement as soon as possible, although it should be more than the prescribed retreats for two reasons, writes Le Monde.
The first reason is that the economic situation has deteriorated much faster than imagined the government to the banks on the verge of collapse and a return to recession and the Greek leader realized he can not lose a minute to avoid a new shipwreck, explains the Le Monde.
The second reason is political. With the earliest possible conclusion of the negotiations, Tsipras hopes to neutralize the left wing of his party that opposes third program. And that is likely to leave.

Besides, according to analysts, the reason for which announced on July 29 that faces the possibility of early elections, is to prevent intraparty rivals to set up a parallel party, believes the French newspaper.
